Big Data Competence Centre

The aim of the Big Data Competence Centre is to support courses and projects for all faculties at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences with big data technologies and applications. An important component of this support is the operation and expansion of the Big Data Cluster in order to teach Big Data in a practical and realistic way in courses, internships and student project work. In addition, students gain expertise in conducting comparative studies with realistic data sets and application scenarios as part of their final theses.

We also support the Master's degree programme in Data Science in close cooperation with the Darmstadt Institute for Statistics & Operations Research (DISO).

Further information about the Big Data Competence Centre can also be found in the Germany - Excellence in Big Data publication.
