Cybersecurity at warp speed: ACSD presents "Science and Fiction"

What can we learn today from Captain Picard about protecting critical infrastructure? Co-organized by Prof. Dr. Christoph Krauß, the ACSD research group and the Department of Computer Science invite you to an extraordinary event: “Science and Fiction: Star Trek in an Interdisciplinary Reality Check.” It will take place on March 6, 2026, starting at 6 p.m. at the university. In cooperation with experts from the social and media sciences, we will examine technological utopias and subject Starfleet's IT security to a critical “audit.” In his lecture, Prof. Krauß will show why a reboot is not a security strategy and what modern automotive security has to do with the Borg. The “Trek am Dienstag” podcasters will be the headliners. We look forward to looking beyond the horizons of the present together with students and the public.
