The "ATHENE Usable Security and Privacy Lab" (USP-Lab) started its work at h_da at the beginning of October. The lab is run by the User-Centered Security working group and supported by the National Research Centre for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE. The lab's research aims to make digital security technology more user-friendly so that people can understand it and use it easily in everyday life. In the impact interview, computer scientist Prof Dr Andreas Heinemann explains why this is important and why data security is not just a technical issue, but also a social one.
