Kick-off Meeting: ARTEWS Research Project Starts at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences
On January 23, 2026, the official kick-off meeting for the project ARTEWS (Advanced Reverse Engineering Techniques for Embedded and Wireless Systems) took place at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Project leads Prof. Dr. Alexander Wiesmaier, Prof. Dr. Christoph Krauß (both h_da), and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Hollick (TU Darmstadt) met with their teams to launch the operational phase of the four-year initiative.
The project, which started at the beginning of the year, focuses on developing innovative methods for the automated security analysis of embedded systems and wireless protocols. Within the framework of the National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE, researchers are working to significantly enhance the transparency and security of critical urban infrastructures, ranging from smart home systems to connected mobility, through the use of artificial intelligence and multi-source data correlation. With the successful kick-off, the foundation has been laid for the development of future-proof protection mechanisms designed to safeguard our digital society in the long term.
