PhD prize for Mathias Ibsen
Mathias Ibsen was honoured with the doctoral prize of the German Institute for Higher Education Development (DIfH) in cooperation with the hlb-Bundesvereinigung e. V.
His research focuses on facial recognition systems and their vulnerabilities to digital and physical manipulation, which can jeopardise the security of many biometric access control systems. The dissertation was written as part of the European TReSPAsS-ETN project, which enabled networking with numerous "Early Stage Researchers" (ESR). The two prizes were sponsored by the European Management Institute (EMI) at Hof University of Applied Sciences.
Congratulations from the Faculty of Computer Science!
