Call for participation in the informatiCup 2021
The GI President Hannes Federrath officially opened the 15th informatiCup 2021 as part of the 50th annual conference INFORMATIK 2020.
Dear students,
As part of the 50th Annual Conference INFORMATIK 2020, GI President Hannes Federrath officially opened the 15th informatiCup 2021.
Parents don't like computer games, and neither do many educators and politicians, who even see them as a haven of evil. Yet computer games are often drivers of innovation in the digital world: computing power, input methods, virtual reality and artificial intelligence are driven by the games industry. Computer games are therefore not only interesting for Computer Scientists as a pastime, but also as a subject in itself (for example in research). That's why the GI wants to play the computer game spe_ed with you in the InformatiCup 2021. In spe_ed, you control a player who moves across a playing field. This player leaves a trail with every step. The aim of the game is to be the last of a maximum of 6 players to remain on the pitch. A player is eliminated as soon as he crosses another player or an existing track.

As every year, the best teams will receive attractive cash prizes from the sponsors Amazon, PPI AF and Netlight.
Register as a team of 2 - 4 people by e-mail by 30 November!
