On 18 October, Prof. Busch spoke at the Leopoldina Lecture on Biometrics and Personal Rights on the topic of demographic bias versus fairness in biometrics and discussed current and future risks to citizens' privacy with other guests.

The Leopoldina Lecture in Herrenhausen is organised by the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina together with the Volkswagen Foundation.

Biometrics is one of the main areas of research at the Computer Science faculty. Further information can be found on the website of Prof Busch's working group.
