2020 Teaching Award for Prof Dr Michael Massoth from the Faculty of Computer Science
On 8 December 2020, the teaching prizes for 2020 were awarded at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences as part of the Digital Teaching Day. A teaching award (endowed with 5000 euros) went to Prof Dr Michael Massoth from the Faculty of Computer Science and Dorothee Mattheis from the Faculty of Social Work for the interdisciplinary teaching project "Gender (in)equity".
From the press release:
"Together with their students, they spent a semester working on (in)equity around gender. Right from the start, the aim was to organise a science slam and a debate duel on the topic. Video clips were also produced. The h_da team worked together with theatre trainer Thorsten Rekate. The jury praised the "very innovative concept" for the fact that the lecturers had succeeded in "teaching students from very different disciplines and with very different languages in-depth and interdisciplinary skills."
