The 5GLab, live and in colour

The 5GLab has been fully operable from the internet since the 2020 summer semester. "This allows our students to set up their own mobile network with free software even during the coronavirus semester when they are not in attendance and to participate in international projects such as OpenAirInterface," explains Prof Dr Stefan Valentin, Head of the Network Technologies research group. A live stream offers students an up-to-date view of their own 5G base station at all times.
