Technical basics of computer science
The laboratory is located on the ground floor of D10 in room 00.31.
As part of your course outline, you will complete various internships in which you will apply theoretical content. We will be happy to support you if you have any questions or problems.
We look forward to supporting you in your professional career.
Equipment / Hardware
Our laboratory is equipped with 16 DIGI boards.

Internships: TGI - Technical Foundations of Computer Science
We use the logisim-evolution programme with the logisim TGI library (updated on 22/07/2025) to draw the circuit diagrams for the individual practical sessions.
This programme is not only used to create circuit diagrams, but also supports you by simulating your digital circuits in practical courses 4 to 6.
There are three training videos on logisim-evolution by Mr Michael Müller:
The first video covers the installation and settings
The second video explains the circuit design and simulation
The third deals with special functions and properties (bus, distributor, ...)
We can offer limited support for the programmes listed above within our time constraints (open lab). Unfortunately, this is not possible for other tools. For the tools, you will also find some guidelines in the assignments that will make your work easier.
During the lab course, you must be able to set up your preparations for the individual tasks on the Digi-Board and present them in a comprehensible manner.
- Laboratory regulations and work placement rules
- Permitted symbols for logical connections and notation of equations
Further documents:
- Example of a lab log
- Extended room plan D10 00.31 and 00.35 (not yet available)
- Digi-Board description
You will find out the date on which your internship starts from your professor in the first lectures or via my.h-da.de!
