Recognition Bachelor Computer Science general

Recognition of credits from other universities

The application for recognition of course and examination achievements that were successfully completed before the start of the degree programme at the Faculty of Computer Science must be submitted in the first semester of the degree programme at the Faculty of Computer Science. If an examination attempt has already been started in the module to be recognised in the current study programme, the entitlement to recognition expires.

Documents required:

  • Application for recognition (to be completed in consultation with the coordinator of the study programme/programme variant)
  • Proof of course and examination achievements already completed (e.g. transcript of records, official transcript of records) in the original or as a certified copy, translated into German if necessary
  • Proof of the content and scope of the module to be recognised (e.g. module description) as a copy, translated into German if necessary

Recognition of achievements from a semester abroad

The application for recognition of course and examination achievements successfully completed during a study abroad programme must be submitted in the first semester after the study abroad programme.

Documents required:

  • Application for recognition (to be completed in consultation with the coordinator of the study programme/programme variant)
  • Approved application for advance recognition (no Learning Agreement)
  • Proof of the course and examination achievements already completed (e.g. transcript of records) in the original or as a certified copy
  • Proof of the content and scope of the module to be recognised (e.g. module description) as a copy

The conversion of grades and CP is usually carried out according to the conversion table valid in the faculty of Computer Science.

Implicit recognition of certificates of achievement

Recognition after a change of degree programme within the department or after a change of examination regulations is automatic and does not need to be explicitly applied for. Please check your transcript of records and contact the coordinator of the study programme/programme variant if you have any questions.
