Independent R&D Studies

The Specialisation in R&D Study module is a special feature of the Master's degree programme. The aim of the module is the independent familiarisation with a current field of research and the acquisition of specialisation in R&D, in particular (also) as preparation for the Master's thesis.

The Specialisation R&D Study module can be taken both in German and in English - as an Independent R&D Study. The module can only be included once in the competences for the Master's certificate.

The independent research study can be on a general topic area of computer science or from one of the four specialisations:

  • IT Security (ITS)
  • Software Engineering (SWE)
  • Technical and Graphical Systems (TGS)
  • Business Informatics (WI)

can be worked on.

The content must be agreed in advance with the supervising lecturer.
