New study and examination regulations (SPO) for the following study programmes in the Faculty of Computer Science will come into force in the winter semester 2021/2022:

  • B. Sc. Computer Science
  • B. Sc. Computer Science with a focus on Communication and Media
  • B. Sc. Computer Science - dual - KITS (KoSI, KITS)
  • M. Sc. computer science

As a student pursuing a dual study programme, please contact the head of degree programme directly if you have any questions regarding the expiry of the SPO.

Es besteht die Möglichkeit, Leistungen, die im Rahmen eines Studiums an einer anderen Hochschule oder eines anderen Studiengangs erworben wurden, für das Bachelorstudium anzuerkennen. Grundlage des Anerkennungsverfahrens sind die Lernergebnisse, die außerhalb des Studiums der Allgemeinen Informatik an der Hochschule Darmstadt erzielt wurden.

Kai Renz is a professor of software engineering in the Department of Computer Science at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. His main area...


of expertise is agile development. In his lectures and practical courses, he uses and researches SCRUM, KANBAN and Extreme Programming (XP).

Since January 2018, Kai Renz has also been head of the Steinbeis Transfer Centre for Agile Software Engineering. In June 2019, Prof. Renz was awarded the Teaching Prize (2nd prize) by Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. Kai Renz has also been a certified SCRUM Master since 2022.
